I am a mother of two, a grad student, and I work part time. For my mental and physical health, I wanted to get back into running, however I was having a hard time finding the motivation to do it on my own. I joined the club thinking I would never be able to run the CS half marathon. However, I found a group of great people at my level and we trained well together and the coaches provided great tips. Without the club, I would never have reached my goal. I finished the half marathon ahead of my goal time and I am in the best shape of my life. I also enjoy the company of the other runners and coaches. This club has been a very positive experience.


The running club coaches are such a great resource for beginning and experienced runners. I am not traditionally a runner, but Coach Cliff teaches little tricks like run shoulder-to-shoulder with someone to keep up with them instead of behind that really helped me get into the mind set of being a runner. Going into my first half-marathon, I knew that no matter my time that I had the ability to finish because I had trained with the running club. I am looking forward to improving with the club too :)
